UPPNC Supports Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson

2nd Amendment  

Mark has been a fierce fighter for the 2nd Amendment, as was seen in his Greensboro City Council speech. Since then he has continued to stand for the 2nd Amendment, serving on the Board of Directors for the NRA.

Pro- Life   

Mark grew up as the 9th of 10 siblings. In poverty, and with an abusive alcoholic father, he ended up in foster care. The radical left believes stories like his should not exist because low income families should abort their babies rather than giving them the opportunity to grow up in sub- optimal conditions. As a Christian, Mark will honor the sanctity of life. 

Education 

Mark believes that education is one of the most important issues that our state faces today. He believes that education should be just that, education; Indoctrination in our public schools must end. Mark advocates for parents having the decision in how and where their children are educated and supports school choice. As a part of supporting school choice, he believes that we should continue and strengthen opportunity scholarship programs which allows students of lower economic statuses to have the opportunity to go to a school outside of the public school system and to receive financial assistance to do so.

Jobs

Mark knows what it’s like for NAFTA to gut wages and take jobs, he experienced that himself. He experienced this twice, with the second company moving to Mexico. Mark will fight for workers across North Carolina to make sure they have jobs to support their families.

Immigration

Mark will always affirm and congratulate those who come here legally. However, he does not support those who illegally come across the border. It is a crime to do so, and should be treated as such. Sanctuary cities within our state are dangerous and disproportionately affect low income areas. Mark will stand up against sanctuary cities.

Veterans

As a veteran, Mark will fight for those who have given themselves to serve this country. Our veterans deserve to be taken care of, and Mark will not simply talk about getting results, he will do it. He believes that in the same way there was no expense spared to send them off, we should not spare any expense to take care of them when they come home and need help.

Voter ID

In 2018, 55% of North Carolinians voted for an amendment which would require ID to be shown in order to vote. After this amendment passed, activist judges struck it down. It is time to enact Voter ID laws, it is common-sense legislation for the common good.

Economy

As someone that has owned a small business, Mark understands less taxes and regulations means business owners can hire more employees and invest more into their communities.

He’s seen the dangers of socialism firsthand; wants to warn his countrymen!

“I want to educate the people of every single action of the Republican Party,” he told The Alamance News in an interview earlier this week. “During Trump’s election [in 2016], I saw people of different cultures and ethnicities coming together to get the Republican Party back to its values…But as a Latino, I notice that the Republican Party has lost communication with some of the people in the community.”

ISSUES THAT MATTER 

Vision-Allison is running for Leland Town Council because she cares about the community where she and her husband Billy are raising their children. Those who focus on the next generation may never enjoy the shade produced by the trees they plant today, but as your voice on the Town Council, Allison will work hard each and every day to ensure that Leland is a great place for future generations.

Service- Allison understands that the role of Town Councilor in Leland is a very demanding and daunting prospect for many. She is willing to step forward and lead the conservative charge on the council for the benefit of all within the town of Leland. 

Planning- Allison can see how fast the town of Leland is growing. Her background as a woman-owned small business owner that is approaching the decade mark will directly help the town of Leland with current and future growth planning that takes into consideration the small businesses as well as the larger businesses that are attracted to our area.  

Economic Development- As Leland grows it is important for our community to have a strong, vibrant, small business community that creates jobs and provides residents with the products and services they need. Allison will ensure our small businesses are prioritized and protected as Leland continues to grow and develop economic opportunities. 

Fiscal Responsibility- Allison will work to ensure that the Town Council of Leland spends every tax dollar wisely and keep your tax bill as low as possible. We must be good stewards of our money and Allison will ensure we are applying strong conservative fiduciary principles to our budgets. 

Transparency- Our town government belongs to the people and Allison will ensure the transparency of our elected officials and our financial management owed to our citizens.  

Partnership- Allison believes the best way to achieve success for the town of Leland is through strong economic and governmental partnerships within the town and beyond. Working with the other sections of the town government and the county will allow for the greatest outcomes for the citizens of Leland. 

Public Safety- Allison believes public safety is one of the most important benefits to the citizens of Leland. Supporting our first responders, Fire, and EMS as well as our dispatch and care centers are critical to Leland's public safety. 

Personal Beliefs- Allison is a strong advocate for the Constitution of the United States. She is Pro-life, pro 2nd Amendment, pro-school choice, and a vocal advocate of the 1st Amendment. She believes firmly in personal responsibility and upholds strong Christian moral values. Allison puts special focus on family and service to others.
